recent session singer work: October 2009
Hi all! I thought I’d share with you a bit of work that I’ve recently done as a Session Singer for Liverpool song writer Paul Owens. The track is called ‘Maid of Stone’. It was produced at ‘Black Sheep Recording Studio’ in Liverpool, arranged and composed by Gary Irwin.
My services were offered purely as a Session Singer, recording the melody and harmony/ backing vocals on this track, but Paul has been so kind as to allow me to share this recent work with your good selves, through this Wedding Blog and also our You Tube channel.
RECORDING ‘MAID OF STONE’
Both Paul and Gary were a pleasure to work with and I really enjoyed my time in the studio recording this with them. Although as a Session Singer it’s not a requirement to, I actually like this song and it’s growing on me more each time I hear it. It’s a pretty chilled and bassy guitar number and so required quite a laid back Vocal, so it was quite straight forward to sing.
